Common Foot and Lower Limb Conditions

The feet take a lot of daily abuse from walking, running, jumping, and climbing, so naturally, they are subject to many different types of problems. From injuries to inflammation, several different types of damage and malfunctions can lead to foot problems. Athletes Foot

More than half the population will at one time or another develop athlete’s foot, a fungal infection on the skin of the feet.

Nail Fungal Infection

Nail fungus is a condition in which one or more of the nails of the fingers or toes become infected with fungal organisms.

Heel Pain

Heel pain is a common foot problem. Pain usually occurs under the heel or just behind it. Sometimes it can affect the side of the heel.

Ingrown Toenail

An ingrown toenail (aka. onychocryptosis) occurs when the nail grows sideways into the toe, and not outward.

Sprains & Fractures

The most common ankle injuries are sprains and fractures, which involve ligaments and bones in the ankle.

Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is where you have pain on the bottom

of your foot, around your heel and arch. 

Calluses & Corns

Corns and calluses are hard or thick areas of skin that can be painful. They're typically found on your feet, toes and hands.
